Perspective changes everything.
Someone is rude to you, maybe they're fighting a battle you can't see. Someone cuts you off, maybe they're rushing somewhere they desperately need to be. We do it every day: we look at the same situation from another direction, and suddenly it tells a different story.
But spiritually, we often forget to do the same.
We see fear, despair, bitterness, pride and sin, and forget to turn the perspective around.
Faith kills fear. Hope kills despair. Peace kills bitterness. And Jesus killed sin.
The cross looked like defeat until you knew how the story ended.
Sometimes, you just have to read it backward.
